I visited "Inventing Abstraction" exhibition in MoMA.There are abstract art work during the 1910-1925. I like exhibitions which is put lot of same style and same group artist together. I think this is good way to learn art history. We can find how they influence by each others even they are from different country and different major. I also learn how abstract art develop from this exhibition. But I don't think all of this art work are" inventing abstraction", I would like say for me, impressionism is inventing abstraction.
There are three works I like it:
1. Blue II by Georgia O'keeffe in 1916. material is watercolor on paper. This painting like frizzy baby, painter just use blue color, maybe bit green color. I think she using big brush, and paint very fast. Georgia O'keeffe listening music when she was paint this work. For me, I feels some pain and struggle from this painting, but I really like this color, I can feels water are flowing in this painting.
