Today we will be watching
a film about the photographer Julius Shulman
by director Eric Bricker.
Discussed in class:
acoustics - the shape and size of a room, which affect the way sound is heard in it.
depth - the distance from the top surface of something such as a river or hole to the bottom of it deep - adj same meaning with depth.
corrugated - it is shape of waves or folds.
eaves - the edges of a roof that stick out beyond the walls.
jacuzzi - a large indoor bath that makes hot water move in strong currents around your body.
whirlpool - it is a black-hole in water.
a piece of furniture - way to count furniture
railing- a fence that stops someone from falling
hillside- side of a hill
cliff - steeper than a hillside
mid-century Modernism - Modernism in 1950s, architecture tends to have simplified lines and shapes
